Overview
The PSR PRO98 DBB Turbo is an ultra-high-performance turbocharger engineered to support up to 2,550 horsepower, making it ideal for extreme drag racing or high-powered competition builds. It features a 98.4mm billet aluminum compressor wheel, designed for maximum airflow and top-end power. The Inconel turbine wheel, sized at approximately 118mm, provides exceptional heat resistance under the most demanding exhaust conditions. Equipped with a dual ceramic ball bearing (DBB) system, the turbo offers faster spool-up, reduced friction, and greater durability under high boost loads.
This model includes the distinctive T51R-modified compressor cover, which enhances flow and produces the signature "jet-whistle" sound often desired in high-end builds. It comes with a T6 open inlet flange, allowing for maximum exhaust flow from large-displacement engines, and a V-band outlet, which simplifies installation and provides a secure, leak-free connection. The turbine housing A/R is 1.25, offering a strong balance between spool and high-RPM power, suitable for large single-turbo setups.
To support high-volume airflow, the compressor housing uses a 6-inch inlet and 4-inch V-band outlet, while the turbine side typically features a 5-inch V-band discharge. The center housing is lightweight, fin-cooled aluminum, with provisions for anti-surge ports and a speed sensor. The turbo is oil-lubricated and requires a restrictor in the oil feed line to protect the dual ball bearing system.
